Harvard wins at Binghamton 30-13 on strength of early bonus-point stretch
A sequence of bonus-point victories in the middle weights produced a margin Binghamton could not erase in the Crimson’s 30-13 road victory.
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Harvard defeated Binghamton 30-13 on Jan. 24, 2026, building a run of bonus-point results in the 133-165-pound range that produced a margin the host Bearcats did not overcome.
Logan Brzozowski opened the dual with a 4-2 decision at 125 after a third-period takedown with 1:20 remaining provided the decisive edge. Coleman Nogle followed with an 8-0 major decision at 133, and Dante Frinzi recorded a fall at 141 to extend Harvard’s lead.
Jack Crook closed his 149-pound bout by technical fall, 20-5, and No. 27 Jimmy Harrington held a 5-2 decision at 157 after opening with a mult-point move and earning riding time. Joseph Cangro’s pin at 165 added another bonus-point result for the Crimson as Harvard moved well ahead in the middle of the lineup.
Binghamton fought back in the upper weights. No. 21 Carter Baer answered with an 18-2 technical fall at 174. Harvard’s Matthew Walsh edged No. 32 Will Ebert, 6-5, a match decided by a third-period riding-time point. Mikey Squires and Trent Sibble posted major decisions at 197 (12-2) and 285 (11-0), respectively, helping the Bearcats chip away at the margin late in the dual.
The meet recap and bout results show Harvard’s string of bonus outcomes in the middle weights created a lead that Binghamton’s late upper-weight bonus scoring could not overcome. Binghamton’s athletics department noted the Bearcats split their Senior Day doubleheader and listed the team at 6-3 (3-1 EIWA) after the day’s action; Harvard’s release recapped the Crimson’s 30-13 road victory as part of its Upstate New York swing.
Harvard’s accumulation of high-value wins in the 133-165 range produced the separating edge in the team score, while Binghamton’s response in the heavier weights narrowed the gap but arrived after the Crimson had already built a multi-bout cushion.
