Purdue @ Nebraska Recap
Nebraska rolled to a 36-3 win over Purdue in Lincoln on January 9, 2026, using a string of bonus-point victories to put the dual out of reach. The Cornhuskers collected decisive results across the lineup and never let the Boilers back into the match.
The tide swung with two big falls from Nebraska's lineup. #3 Brock Hardy pinned Vincent Paino to deliver six team points, and #4 Antrell Taylor followed with a fall over #17 Stoney Buell, another six-point swing that swung the scoreboard heavily in Nebraska's favor. Those pins, coupled with AJ Ferrari’s strength at heavyweight, created the clear separation.
At 285, #4 AJ Ferrari closed the scoring run with an 11-2 major decision over Hayden Filipovich (#28), adding four more bonus points and effectively sealing the dual. Purdue’s lone points came from #4 Joey Blaze, who beat Nebraska’s #8 LJ Araujo 8-2 at 165 for a decision and the only score on the board for the Boilers.
Nebraska’s combination of pins and majors proved decisive; the Cornhuskers left Lincoln with a 33-point margin that reflected the bonus-heavy night rather than a string of narrow decisions. Purdue fought in spots, but Nebraska’s stops for falls and majors created a gap Purdue could not bridge.
