The Citadel @ Davidson

The Citadel Men's Wrestling rolled to a 44-0 road sweep of Davidson Men's Wrestling in Davidson, NC on January 24, 2025. The final was built on a string of bonus-point victories that quickly put the dual out of reach and kept Davidson off the scoreboard.

A stretch of three technical falls delivered the knockout blow. At 133 pounds George Rosas shut down Enis Ljikovic 15-0 by technical fall, and Carson DesRosier followed with a 19-2 technical fall at 149. Tyler Badgett added a 15-0 technical fall at 157, each worth five team points and collectively producing the biggest chunk of The Citadel’s margin.

Davidson’s hopes never recovered, and Micah DiCarlo’s 17-5 major decision at 184 added four more team points to the Citadel total, further widening the gap. Those bonus results, combined with solid decision wins elsewhere, removed any chance of a Davidson rally.

The Citadel finished with five bonus-point victories overall, including two major decisions and three technical falls, and completed the shutout 44-0. The heavy bonus-point output was the decisive factor in a dominant conference road performance.
