Virginia Tech Men's Wrestling defeated Chattanooga Men's Wrestling 37-6 at the Cregger Center in Salem, VA on November 1, 2024. The Hokies piled up bonus points throughout the dual and left Little Rock’s visitors with just six team points in a convincing 31-point victory.

Five bonus-point results dictated the outcome. Eddie Ventresca powered to a 21-5 technical fall at 125 pounds, earning five team points, while Connor McGonagle recorded a fall at 133 for six. Rafael Hipolito Jr. added another technical fall at 157, 22-6, which supplied another five team points and widened Virginia Tech’s margin.

The run of bonus wins only continued at the upper weights. Sonny Sasso pinned his opponent at 197 for six team points, and Jimmy Mullen closed with a fall at 285 for six more. That string of technical falls and pins turned the dual into an uphill battle for Chattanooga and produced the decisive scoring run that put the matchup out of reach.
