South Dakota State topped Campbell 45-3 in Brookings, SD on December 21, 2025, cruising to a 42-point dual meet victory at South Dakota State University. The Jackrabbits piled up bonus points throughout the lineup, turning a lopsided contest into a rout.

The middle weights produced two of the biggest margins. At 133 pounds Derrick Cardinal, ranked #27, recorded a 20-5 technical fall over Logan Heil for five team points, and at 141 pounds #15 Julian Tagg also won by technical fall, 20-5 over Zander Phaturos. Those back-to-back tech falls pushed South Dakota State well ahead and forced Campbell to play catch-up.

South Dakota State sealed the dual with pins on the upper end of the lineup. Quin Morgan picked up a fall over Conor Maslanek at 197 pounds, and heavyweight Luke Rasmussen, ranked #20, closed things out with a fall over Sawyer VanRider. Between the three technical falls and two pins, SDSU collected the bonus points that decided the outcome.

Campbell managed just three team points, but could not overcome the Jackrabbits’ string of bonus victories. In all, South Dakota State earned five bonus-point wins en route to the 45-3 final, with the tech falls and late pins turning a competitive night into a decisive team victory.
