Stanford edged out California Baptist 29-12 at California Baptist University in Riverside, CA on November 15, 2025. The Cardinal piled up bonus points throughout the card to separate themselves, turning several key matches into decisive swings in their favor.

The middle of the lineup proved especially costly for the Lancers. No. 13 Aden Valencia dominated at 149 with a 21-2 technical fall for five team points, and No. 5 Daniel Cardenas put the match away at 157 with a fall, adding six more. Another top-five performance came at 165, where No. 5 Hunter Garvin picked up an 11-3 major decision. Those three bonus results undercut any chance of a CBU comeback.

Stanford’s depth showed beyond the ranked names. Edwin Sierra scored a 10-2 major over No. 28 Cooper Shore at 125, and Jack Consiglio added a 20-7 major at 141. Abraham Wojcikiewicz capped the wave of bonus scoring with a fall at 184. In total Stanford collected six bonus-point victories, a run that proved the difference in the 17-point margin.

For Cal Baptist, a couple of competitive bouts could not overcome the sequence of tech falls, majors, and pins that swung team points heavily to Stanford. The Cardinal’s combination of two pins, a technical fall, and multiple major decisions created a scoring string in the middle weights that decided the dual.
