Arizona State sophomore Kaleb Larkin, ranked #2 at 149, delivered one of the day’s biggest results when he beat Cutter Sheets 20-4 by technical fall for five team points. That dominant performance was the Sun Devils’ clearest moment, and it kept the dual within reach heading into the later bouts.

Oklahoma State answered with three bonus victories that decided the meet. Landon Robideau, listed as #2 at 157, downed #24 Chance McLane 16-5 by major decision for four team points. At 174, #8 Alex Facundo posted an 18-8 major decision to add another four points. The cushion grew at 197 when #9 Cody Merrill slammed Max Acciardi 23-6 by technical fall for five more team points. Those three bonus-point results supplied the bulk of Oklahoma State’s scoring and separated the teams on the scoreboard.

In the end the Cowboys’ ability to convert opportunities into majors and technical falls made the difference, producing a 14-point margin that Arizona State could not overcome despite Larkin’s big win. The dual featured high-end individual performances on both sides, but Oklahoma State’s bonus production clinched the road victory in Tempe.
