North Carolina @ Nebraska

Nebraska took care of business at home, beating North Carolina 27-9 at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln on December 19, 2025. The Cornhuskers collected multiple bonus-point victories that separated the dual and left little room for a comeback.

Nebraska’s margin came largely from bonus offense. Antrell Taylor, ranked #6, scored a 13-2 major decision at 157 to net four team points. Christopher Minto, the Cornhuskers’ #7 at 174, followed with a 17-3 major for another four points, and Camden McDanel (#15) added a 10-2 major at 197. The finishing blow came at heavyweight when #4 AJ Ferrari recorded a fall over Mikey Calcagno for six points.

There were a couple of tight, high-quality decisions that kept North Carolina competitive early. Brock Hardy, Nebraska’s #3 at 141, beat Luke Simcox (#18) 5-0, and LJ Araujo (#13) squeaked by Bryce Hepner (#20) 2-0 at 165, but those decisions could not match the impact of Nebraska’s bonus-point haul.

Ultimately the run of majors and the late pin proved decisive. Nebraska’s ability to convert against ranked opponents and pile up bonus points turned a competitive slate of matches into a 27-9 final score in Lincoln.
