A running theme was Wisconsin’s ability to finish matches. Joseph Zargo, ranked #12 at 149 pounds, dominated Brayden Canoyer 17-1 by technical fall for five team points. Beyond the bonus production, the ranked wins mattered: Rivera’s major over a ranked opponent and Zargo’s dominant outing underscored Wisconsin’s upper-weight depth, while Amos’s pin provided the knockout blow. The accumulation of bonus points rather than a single turning match decided the dual, producing the final 36-3 margin in Madison.
