North Carolina swept Northern Colorado 40-0 at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC on November 9, 2025. The Tar Heels piled up bonus points throughout the dual, leaving Northern Colorado without an answer in the key matchups.

A string of bonus-point wins decided the meet. At 141 pounds, #23 Luke Simcox dominated KJ Evans with a 15-0 technical fall that supplied five team points. Laird Root added a 14-4 major decision at 157 pounds for four more team points, and Robert Platt at 197, ranked #28, recorded a 17-2 technical fall to keep the margin growing. Nolan Neves, ranked #22 at heavyweight, finished with a 21-4 technical fall for another five-point bonus.

Those four bonus results accounted for 19 of North Carolina’s 40 team points and created the separation Northern Colorado could not overcome. The combination of multiple technical falls and a major decision swung the score emphatically in Carolina’s favor and prevented any comeback opportunity.
