Campbell Men’s Wrestling rolled to a 43-3 win over Gardner-Webb at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C., on February 4, 2024. The visitors’ offense never got going, and Campbell turned several bonus-point victories into a commanding margin.

The difference came from a string of bonus results. Anthony Molton put together a 16-1 technical fall at 125 pounds and Domenic Zaccone followed with a 22-5 technical fall at 133, each worth five team points. Chris Earnest added a pin at 157 for six more points, and Taye Ghadiali closed the scoring with a fall at heavyweight for another six. Those four matches alone supplied a large chunk of Campbell’s total and left Gardner-Webb with little room to respond.

Beyond those headline bouts, Campbell’s depth showed up across the lineup. Multiple other matches ended in technical falls, contributing the rest of the cushion that turned a tight sequence into a blowout. Gardner-Webb’s lone scoring came from a decision or bonus elsewhere, but it was not enough to challenge Campbell’s sustained bonus-point production.

In the end the combination of technical falls and timely pins defined the dual. Campbell’s ability to secure bonus points repeatedly is what decided the meet, leaving them with a 40-point victory and Gardner-Webb searching for answers as the conference schedule continues.
