Rider topped Clarion 32-11 at Clarion University on February 16, 2025, pulling away behind a string of bonus-point victories that decided the dual. The Raiders collected multiple pins and tech falls that made the difference in a match that never got close on the scoreboard.

Rider’s Noah Michaels and Will Betancourt supplied the most emphatic wins, each recording a fall for six team points. The Raiders also turned in dominant technical falls, with Colton Washleski posting a 19-4 tech and Michael Wilson finishing 25-10 by technical fall. Those bonus results provided a heavy chunk of Rider’s total and pressured Clarion throughout the lineup.

Clarion’s biggest moment came at 149 pounds, where Kyle Schickel answered with a 21-6 technical fall to pick up five points and keep his team competitive. Even with Schickel’s bonus, Rider continued to accumulate extra team points; Brock Zurawski added a 13-1 major decision at 197 to further pad the margin and effectively seal the outcome.

In the end Rider’s collection of falls, technical falls and a major decision outweighed Clarion’s lone bonus, producing a 21-point final margin. The bonus-point barrage by the Raiders was the clear deciding factor in the dual.
