Oregon State defeated North Carolina 22-14 in Corvallis, OR on February 23, 2025, handing the Beavers an eight-point dual meet victory.

What decided the dual were the bonus-point wins for the home team. Sean Harman’s 21-6 technical fall at 174 and Trey Munoz’s 21-6 technical fall at 197 combined for 10 bonus team points and produced the decisive swing on the scorecard. Those two dominant performances gave Oregon State separation they would not relinquish.

North Carolina fought back with bonus scoring of its own. Ethan Oakley downed Gage Singleton 12-4 by major decision at 133 and heavyweight Nolan Neves closed his bout with a 16-4 major decision over Brett Mower, adding four points apiece. Those majors kept UNC competitive late, but they could not overcome the Beavers’ pair of tech falls.

In the end the bonus-point differential made the difference. Oregon State’s technical falls created a cushion that North Carolina’s two major decisions could not erase, resulting in the 22-14 final.
