Oklahoma @ Air Force Recap

Oklahoma defeated Air Force 32-3 in a Big 12 dual at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs on November 8, 2024. The Sooners piled up bonus points and held Air Force to just three team points, turning a routine meeting into a lopsided scoreline.

Two bonus wins swung the dual decisively. At 149 pounds, Willie McDougald recorded a fall over Alec Viduya, supplying Oklahoma with six team points and a momentum-shifting result in that matchup. A pin like that not only boosts the scoreboard but also narrows the margin for error in a dual meet.

At 184 pounds Deanthony Parker Jr. dominated Owen Heiser with a 19-1 technical fall, adding five more team points. That technical fall underscored the gap between the squads on the mat that night and went a long way toward putting the dual out of reach for the hosts. Between the fall and the tech fall, Oklahoma swept up 11 bonus points that proved decisive.

Aside from those bookend performances, Oklahoma’s ability to collect bonus points and limit Air Force scoring defined the meet. The final 32-3 score reflected both the Sooners’ ability to turn dominant individual results into team margin and Air Force’s struggle to generate offense beyond a lone scoring effort.
