Army collected several bonus-point wins and pins to defeat Hofstra at West Point on Feb. 7, 2026.
WEST POINT, N.Y. — Army West Point defeated Hofstra 35-10 on Feb. 7, 2026, using a string of pins and technical falls to secure a decisive dual meet victory.
Army built its margin with multiple bonus-point outcomes across the lineup. Charlie Farmer recorded a pin at 125 pounds after an escape and a takedown in the second period. Joe Antonio closed his 157-pound bout by technical fall, 21-4, following a three-takedown first period and additional second-period scoring that ended the match. Andrew Christie and Austin Kohlhofer each finished by fall at 174 and 285 pounds, respectively.
Hofstra’s scoring came chiefly from two technical falls. Gauge Shipp opened a 17-0 technical fall at 133 pounds by scoring an early takedown and successive near-falls in the first period. No. 33 Jake Slotnick closed his 165-pound bout by technical fall, 18-3, compiling multiple third-period takedowns and a 4-point near-fall with 10 seconds remaining to reach the technical-fall threshold.
Several decision bouts factored into the dual’s flow. Braden Basile held off Chase Liardi 9-4 at 141 after a second-period escape and takedown produced a lead change. Cole Karpinski won 9-6 at 184, adding an escape and a riding-time point in the final sequence. Wolfgang Frable posted a 5-1 decision at 197 and Ryan Franco won 4-1 at 149, the latter built on an early takedown and a riding-time point.
The meet was held on Army’s senior night; the program recognized its senior class between duals. A replay of the dual is available on the event’s broadcast platform.
Army’s combination of pins, technical falls and late-match riding-time points supplied the bonus scoring that produced the margin of victory and kept Hofstra’s two tech falls from altering the outcome.
