Bellarmine uses tech falls, major decision and pin to beat Davidson 38-3

Two technical falls, a major decision and a pin produced a 38-3 road win for Bellarmine; Davidson’s only scoring came at 149 pounds.

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Bellarmine defeated Davidson 38-3 on Jan. 30, 2026, collecting multiple bonus-point wins that decided the dual.

The visitors opened the scoring when Bellarmine earned a forfeit at 157.

At 125, Damion Ryan rallied from a late deficit to beat Brady Joling 13-10, closing with three third-period takedowns and a four-point near fall that produced the decisive swing in the bout.

Trayce Eckman extended the margin at 133 with a 19-4 technical fall. Eckman recorded five three-point takedowns and added a four-point near fall in the first period to reach the technical-fall threshold.

No. 32 AJ Rallo followed with a 20-5 technical fall at 141, adding another five-team-point result that pushed Bellarmine firmly ahead.

Davidson’s lone team points came at 149, where Anderson Heap posted a 7-1 decision.

Bellarmine added decision wins at 165 (Noah Hall, 15-8), 174 (Grant O’Dell, 7-2) and 184 (Keenan Wyatt, 13-12). At 197, Andrew Liber recorded a 15-5 major decision, and No. 33 Daulton Mayer finished the dual with a pin at 285, removing any path for a Davidson comeback.

Bellarmine’s athletics release noted the win was the program’s fourth straight and listed the Knights at 6-4 overall and 3-0 in Southern Conference play. A full replay of the dual is available through FloWrestling’s event page.
