Rider knocked off Edinboro 25-13 at McComb Fieldhouse in Edinboro, Pa., on Feb. 14, 2025. The visitors collected the bonus points they needed to pull away, while Edinboro got a couple of big individual results that kept the home crowd engaged.
Edinboro’s Anthony Ferraro provided the loudest moment when he defeated Branden Palcko by fall at 141 pounds, a six-point swing that kept Edinboro competitive. At heavyweight Aden Roe answered with a 9-0 major decision over Collin French to add four more team points for the hosts.
The match turned in Rider’s favor with a string of bonus-point victories. Sammy Alverez at 149 finished 10-2 for a major decision and Michael Wilson at 174 won 11-1 by major decision, each worth four team points. Brock Zurawski’s 16-1 technical fall at 197 was the decisive blow, delivering five team points and putting Rider comfortably ahead.
With those bonus results separating the teams, Rider closed out a 12-point road win. Edinboro’s two bonus wins kept the dual from getting out of reach, but Rider’s majors and the technical fall were the difference in the 25-13 final.
