CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., Feb. 15, 2026 — Chattanooga defeated Appalachian State 20-13 in a Southern Conference dual at the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga.
Chattanooga collected six match wins, including a technical fall at 174 pounds. Kamdyn Munro recorded a 21-3 technical fall at 174 that produced five team points. Decision victories for Chattanooga came from No. 24 Cooper Flynn (125, 6-1), Ethan Uhorchuk (133, 4-1), Hunter Mason (141, 6-4), Cavarius Liddie (157, 4-2) and Kade Rule (197, 8-3).
Appalachian State won four bouts. Stephan Monchery delivered a 14-4 major decision at 285 for four team points. No. 26 Kaden Keiser won 7-3 at 149, Anthony Conetta prevailed 6-1 at 165 and Tomas Brooker took a 2-0 decision at 184.
Ethan Uhorchuk’s 133-pound bout was decided in sudden victory when he finished a three-point takedown to end the match 4-1. Hunter Mason’s 141-pound win featured a late, three-point takedown with 21 seconds remaining that turned a 4-4 situation into a 6-4 decision.
Monchery’s major decision provided the largest scoring response for Appalachian State. Munro’s technical fall was the biggest single scoring play of the dual and, together with Chattanooga’s string of decisions, produced the 20-13 final team score.
Appalachian State’s athletics site noted the Mountaineers suffered their first league loss in the result and listed both teams 6-1 in Southern Conference play following the dual. The match took place at the University of Tennessee - Chattanooga venue in Maclellan Gym.
