Rutgers knocked off Clarion 38-6 at Clarion University in Clarion, Pa. on Dec. 13, 2024. The Scarlet Knights piled up bonus points throughout the night, turning what could have been a close dual into a comfortable margin by the final whistle.

The dual was decided by a string of bonus victories for Rutgers. Dean Peterson delivered a 19-4 technical fall at 125 to secure five team points, and Joseph Olivieri followed with a 20-3 technical fall at 141 for another five. On the upper end of the lineup, John Poznanski sealed a bonus with a fall at 197, adding six points that helped put the dual out of reach. Rutgers also picked up majors and other decisive wins that steadily increased their lead.

Clarion’s standout moment came at 174 when John Worthing scored a fall over Eric Freeman, the lone pin of the night for the hosts and a six-point swing that kept Clarion on the board. Despite that highlight, Rutgers’ collection of tech falls, majors, and a late pin overwhelmed the home team, producing a 32-point margin and a clear win for Rutgers.
