Each of those results earned Minnesota five points and showcased the gap in scoring at those weight classes.

Minnesota’s combination of bonus-point victories and clean decisions across the card produced the shutout, while Northwestern was unable to register a team point. The 39-0 final underscores how critical bonus-point wins were in deciding this Big Ten dual.
