SIU Edwardsville Men's Wrestling rolled to a 51-4 dual meet victory over Aurora Men's Wrestling Team at the University of Southern Illinois-Edwardsville in Edwardsville, Ill., on November 23, 2025. The Redhawks’ depth and ability to convert opportunities into bonus points decided the meet.

A string of bonus-point wins powered SIUE. Drew Davis turned in a dominant 17-2 technical fall at 125 pounds, and 149-pound newcomer Caleb Tyus, ranked #19, recorded a fall to add six team points. Nico Ronchetti’s 17-1 technical fall at 184 pounds underscored the middle weights’ control, and the scoring was capped by a late heavyweight pin from Kevin Zimmer at 285. Those tech falls and pins repeatedly swung large chunks of the team score in SIUE’s favor.

Aurora’s most notable result came at 157, where Cameron Johnson notched a 10-2 major decision to account for Aurora’s only bonus points and its only scoring beyond a single takedown or decision. Outside of that, Aurora struggled to counter SIUE’s finishing ability and frequently surrendered bonus-point outcomes.

The dual was never close once SIUE began accumulating tech falls and falls across the lineup; the Redhawks finished with a broad margin thanks to those bonus victories. Aurora will leave Edwardsville with a few positives to build on, but SIUE’s finishing prowess was the clear difference on the scoreboard.
