Edinboro @ George Mason Recap
George Mason rolled to a 38-3 victory over Edinboro at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., on January 13, 2024. The Patriots piled up bonus points all afternoon to build a commanding lead that Edinboro could not overcome.
George Mason collected several bonus-point wins, beginning with JB Dragovich’s 17-5 major decision over Caleb Edwards. Two dominant technical falls followed as Nate Higley dismantled Jacob Brenneman 17-0 and Kaden Cassidy blanked Colin Roberts 15-0. Those bonus results swung the scoreboard heavily in the Patriots’ favor and limited Edinboro’s opportunities to mount a comeback.
The dual was put out of reach when George Mason recorded two falls. Evan Maag secured a pin over Max Kirby, and Malachi DuVall added a pin of Brody Evans, each worth six team points. That run of tech falls and pins created a sizable gap and effectively decided the meet long before the final whistle.
Edinboro finished with just three team points as George Mason’s depth and ability to convert dominant performances into bonus points decided the day. The Patriots leave Fairfax with a convincing conference dual win that showcased several high-margin victories.
