Harvard @ Princeton Recap

Princeton Men’s Wrestling rolled to a 44-0 win over Harvard Men’s Wrestling at Jadwin Gymnasium in Princeton, NJ on February 2, 2025. The Tigers put together a one-sided dual that featured a string of bonus-point results which left Harvard without a team point.

The margin was built largely on technical falls at the lower weights. Marc-Anthony McGowan dominated Isaiah Adams 24-7 by technical fall for five team points, Eligh Rivera recorded a 21-6 technical fall over Dante Frinzi, and Ty Whalen closed out a 18-3 technical fall against Jaden Pepe. Those three five-point bonus wins set a physical tone and created the bulk of Princeton’s cushion.

Princeton also collected decisive results through the lineup. Sebastian Garibaldi delivered the only pin of the night at 285, taking Jeffrey Crooks to the mat and adding six team points. Those kinds of bonus outcomes were complemented by a major decision from Blaine Bergey at 165 and additional technical falls at 184 and 197, underscoring Princeton’s depth and finishing ability.

In all, Princeton recorded seven bonus-point victories en route to the shutout. Harvard was unable to counter with bonus scoring or narrow decisions, and the Tigers’ high rate of bonus results made the difference in what finished as a dominant Ivy League dual.
