Appalachian State Men's Wrestling defeated Chattanooga Men's Wrestling 24-17 in Boone, NC on February 9, 2025. The Mountaineers edged the Mocs by converting multiple bonus opportunities into team points, while Chattanooga landed a couple of high-impact victories that kept the dual competitive throughout.

Appalachian’s depth showed up in the score sheet. Bryson Terrell’s 11-3 major decision and Luke Uliano’s 15-1 major decision provided big, four-point swings that built pressure on Chattanooga, and Carson Floyd’s fall at 197 supplied a six-point boost that swung momentum firmly in Appalachian State’s favor. Those bonus wins were the backbone of the Mountaineers’ 24 points.

Chattanooga answered with its own bonus efforts, most notably Eli Knight pinning Aldo Hernandez at 141 for six team points. Knight’s fall tightened the margin and signaled that the Mocs were not going away, but Chattanooga’s bonus production was limited to a couple of explosive results rather than a string of high-scoring outcomes.

The dual came down to Appalachian State collecting more bonus-point victories across the lineup. Floyd’s pin and the majors from Terrell and Uliano created a scoring cushion that Chattanooga could not erase, giving the Mountaineers the seven-point margin in Boone.
