Binghamton @ Harvard Recap
Binghamton picked up a 26-12 road victory over Harvard on January 25, 2025 at Harvard University in Boston. The Bearcats pulled away with multiple bonus-point finishes, turning a competitive meet into a comfortable win by a 14-point margin.
The match swung on four high-impact results. At 165 pounds Carter Baer rolled to a 15-2 major decision over Cael Berg, good for four team points. Brevin Cassella added a fall over Haden Bottiglieri, and that pin was one of two that produced the extra scoring punch for Binghamton. Will Ebert notched a 10-2 major decision at 184, another four-point swing, and heavyweight Cory Day closed with a fall over Jeffrey Crooks to deliver six more team points.
Those bonus wins were the difference. Rather than a string of narrow decisions, Binghamton amassed majors and pins that Harvard could not match, and the combined value of those performances created separation on the scoreboard. The two falls and two majors accounted for a large share of the Bearcats’ 26 points and proved decisive in limiting any comeback chances for the Crimson.
Binghamton’s depth in the crucial matchups carried them through on the road, leaving Cambridge with a clear team victory. Harvard managed to score in other bouts, but the four bonus-point finishes were the defining outcomes of the dual.
