NC State Men's Wrestling picked up a 32-4 road victory over Virginia Men’s Wrestling Team on January 18, 2025, in Charlottesville. The Wolfpack’s bonus-point production proved decisive in a dual that never quite swung back to the hosts.

The most eye-catching result came at 125 pounds, where Vincent Robinson ran up a 19-4 technical fall over Anthony Rossi, earning five team points and a major chunk of NC State’s margin. Virginia’s only scoreboard entry came from Dylan Cedeno at 141 pounds, who turned in an 8-0 major decision for four points to keep the Cavaliers alive briefly.

Isaac Trumble closed the scoring with a fall at 285 pounds, adding six bonus points that effectively sealed the meet for NC State. Those three bonus results—the tech fall, the major for Virginia, and the pin—accounted for the bulk of the scoring swing and left little room for a comeback.

In the end the Wolfpack’s ability to finish matches with bonus points made the difference, producing a 28-point winning margin in Charlottesville.
