The match got away from the hosts when Michigan collected multiple pins. Cameron Amine recorded a fall at 165 pounds and Lucas Davison closed out the heavyweight bout with a fall, each worth six team points and each further padding the margin. Those bonus-point results, paired with the earlier tech falls, essentially decided the dual.

Maryland managed just three team points in the dual while Michigan’s depth and ability to convert wrestling opportunities into bonus points produced the decisive 35-point margin.
