Brown @ Bucknell

Bucknell edged Brown 30-12 at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa., on February 17, 2024. The Bison pulled away behind several bonus-point results that swung the dual in their favor.

A decisive stretch came with Bucknell bonus scoring at the upper weights. Mikey Bartush recorded a fall at 184 for six team points, Logan Deacetis followed with a 17-2 technical fall at 197 for five team points, and Dorian Crosby finished with a fall at 285 for another six. Those three bonus wins supplied the bulk of Bucknell’s margin and proved the difference in the final score.

Brown had its own strong moments on the mat. Michael Joyce earned an 8-0 major decision at 125, and Blake Saito notched a major decision at 157. Jonathan Conrad also delivered a major decision at 174. Those three majors accounted for all of Brown’s bonus points and kept the Bears competitive throughout the lineup.

Braden Bower’s 9-0 major decision at 149 gave Bucknell another key bonus point victory. In the end Bucknell’s string of bonus results at 184, 197 and 285 created the scoring swing that Brown could not overcome, sending the Bison to a 30-12 dual victory.
