Oklahoma State opened with bonus points and closed with consecutive pins to finish a 32-11 dual victory over Iowa at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

STILLWATER, Okla. — No. 3 Oklahoma State defeated No. 7 Iowa 32-11 on Feb. 22 at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Oklahoma State built a rapid lead early. Troy Spratley opened scoring with a 5-2 decision at 125, Jax Forrest followed with a 19-3 technical fall at 133 that included a second-period four-point nearfall, and No. 2 Sergio Vega recorded an escape (clock 108) and a takedown (clock 42) in the third period before pinning Kale Petersen at 141 to push the Cowboys well ahead.

Iowa answered at 149 when Ryder Block used takedowns across all three periods to secure a 19-4 technical fall. Oklahoma State then extended its margin with No. 6 Landon Robideau’s 5-1 decision at 157; Robideau scored a three-point takedown in the first period and earned a riding-time point that completed the final margin.

Iowa won consecutive middle weights to chip away at the deficit. No. 4 Michael Caliendo defeated No. 2 LaDarion Lockett, 4-2, using a three-point takedown in the first period. No. 3 Patrick Kennedy followed with an 8-3 decision over No. 6 Alex Facundo, adding a third-period takedown (with 52 seconds remaining) and a riding-time point to secure the victory.

The 184-pound match went to sudden victory, where No. 12 Zack Ryder scored the overtime point to edge Gabe Arnold, 2-1. Oklahoma State closed the dual with back-to-back pins as No. 6 Cody Merrill recorded a fall at 197 and No. 8 Konner Doucet converted a late takedown into a pin at heavyweight.
