Clarion @ Rider

Rider posted a 34-6 victory over Clarion at Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J., on December 21, 2025 in a MAC dual meet. The Broncs piled up bonus points in key matchups to build a decisive margin, while Clarion was limited to six total team points.

The middle weights provided the big swings. At 141 pounds, No. 15 Elijah Griffin recorded a fall over Scott Johnson for six team points, and 149-pounder Dylan Layton followed with a 17-2 technical fall over Oliver Fairchild, adding five more. Those two bonus results pushed Rider well ahead in the scoreboard battle.

Rider doubled down later in the lineup when Enrique Munguia, ranked No. 30 at 174, stopped Patrick Cutchember by fall, and at 197 Brock Zurawski, No. 21, closed his match with a 20-3 technical fall over Ethan Wiant. The sequence of pins and tech falls across those pivotal weights produced the scoring run that effectively decided the dual and created the 28-point final margin.

Clarion managed only limited offense against that string of bonus victories, and Rider’s ability to convert chances into falls and technicals separated the teams. The result underlines Rider’s depth through the middle and upper weights as the MAC schedule continues.
