Sacred Heart @ Brown Recap
Brown topped Sacred Heart 40-6 at Brown University in Providence, R.I., on Feb. 24, 2024, cruising to a 34-point victory in the dual. The margin was built on an uncommon number of bonus-point wins that kept Sacred Heart from mounting any comeback.
Two dominant technical falls underscored Brown’s control. Hunter Adrian hammered Sacred Heart 19-0 at 133 pounds, and Keegan Rothrock closed a stretch of dominance with a 15-0 technical fall at 165, each worth five team points and each firmly swinging momentum toward the hosts.
Brown also finished strong with pins that removed any doubt. Blake Saito’s fall at 157 delivered six team points and punctuated Brown’s offensive night, and at heavyweight Alex Semenenko recorded a fall to secure another six points and lock up the dual.
Those big results, combined with additional bonus scoring across the lineup, produced the decisive run that decided the meet. Four bonus bouts provided the bulk of Brown’s tally and left Sacred Heart limited to sparse scoring as Brown ran away with the win.
