Ohio @ Davidson Recap
Ohio left Davidson with a 28-10 victory on Dec. 20, 2025 in Davidson, NC, using a string of bonus-point results to build an insurmountable lead. The final score reflected Ohio’s ability to turn tight bouts into extra-point wins, while Davidson fought back with one major decision of its own.
Ryan Meek’s 9-1 major decision at 133 pounds supplied four team points and helped keep Ohio out front. At 184 pounds, #15 Sal Perrine added another big result, grinding out a 19-5 major decision that extended Ohio’s cushion and underscored the importance of bonus scoring in the dual.
The clearest turning point came at 197, where #26 Zayne Lehman delivered a 16-0 technical fall for five team points. That dominant performance pushed Ohio’s margin to a level Davidson could not overcome and effectively sealed the dual. Lehman’s technical fall, combined with the majors from Meek and Perrine, accounted for the majority of Ohio’s scoring.
Davidson’s highlight came at 149, where Anderson Heap upset Paul Woo with a 12-2 major decision for four points and kept the Wildcats competitive in the mid-weights. Still, Heap’s bonus was the lone extra-point win for Davidson; Ohio’s trio of bonus victories supplied the decisive advantage in a 28-10 road win.
