West Virginia @ Missouri Recap
Missouri knocked off West Virginia 22-17 at the University of Missouri in Columbia on January 26, 2025, in a dual that came down to bonus points. Missouri collected two bonus wins that ultimately separated the squads, while West Virginia answered with their own pair of majors to keep the outcome in doubt until the end.
The big swing for Missouri was Kade Moore’s fall at 133 pounds, which produced six team points and gave the Tigers a vital edge. At 157 pounds J Conway added a 13-4 major decision, tacking on four more bonus points and building a cushion that proved difficult for the Mountaineers to overcome.
West Virginia countered with back-to-back major decisions in the middle weights. Brody Conley dominated Joel Mylin 12-2 at 174 to earn four team points, and Dennis Robin followed with an 11-2 major over Jeremy Jakowitsch at 184 for another four. Those two bonus victories tightened the score and kept the dual within reach for West Virginia late in the lineup.
In the end the two Missouri bonus results were the difference. The Tigers’ fall and Conway’s major supplied the extra margin that withstood West Virginia’s comeback majors, leaving Missouri with a five-point victory in a dual decided by bonus-point wrestling.
