Oklahoma State @ Pittsburgh Recap
Oklahoma State knocked off Pittsburgh 31-6 in Pennsylvania on January 12, 2024, cruising to a 25-point dual meet victory. The Cowboys collected the kind of bonus-point wins that decide duals, while Pittsburgh was unable to match that extra scoring punch.
Several decisive finishes supplied the bulk of Oklahoma State’s points. Troy Spratley ended his match with a fall over Colton Camacho, picking up six team points. Daton Fix followed with a clinical 10-0 major decision, and the Cowboys tacked on additional majors as Teague Travis won 14-3 at 157 and Dustin Plott closed out a 14-4 major at 184. Those bonus results turned routine decisions into a commanding lead.
Pittsburgh threatened in isolated moments but could not string together bonus scoring of its own, and the margin never looked in doubt after Oklahoma State’s run of dominant wins. The combination of a fall and multiple major decisions gave OSU breathing room and ultimately decided the dual.
