South Dakota State downed Air Force 38-3 at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado on January 18, 2025. The Jackrabbits piled up bonus points throughout the lineup, turning a dual into a lopsided road victory for the visitors.

The middle weights were the decisive stretch. At 157 pounds, Cobe Siebrecht closed on a 19-3 technical fall over Josh Palacio, and at 165 Marcus Espinoza-Owens followed with a 24-8 technical fall over EJ Beloncik. Those back-to-back techs created a run of bonus scoring that put Air Force well behind and forced the Falcons to chase points the rest of the night.

South Dakota State’s offensive onslaught continued at 174, where Cade DeVos ended the bout by technical fall, adding another five-team-point result to the ledger. On the other end of the card, the Jackrabbits also secured bonus wins at the lighter and heavier weights, including Tanner Jordan’s 8-0 major decision at 125 and Luke Rasmussen’s 9-0 major decision at 285, which helped turn a comfortable lead into an insurmountable margin.

In all, SDSU notched seven bonus-point victories en route to the 35-point win. Air Force managed just three team points, and the string of technical falls and majors from the Jackrabbits was the clear difference in this Big 12 meeting.
