PHILADELPHIA — Drexel beat Franklin & Marshall 30-11 on Jan. 31, 2026, using a string of bonus-point victories to create a decisive team margin.
The host scored two technical falls and two major decisions that accounted for extra team points. No. 33 Kyle Waterman opened the run with a 20-3 technical fall at 133 pounds, and Ibrahim Ameer added an 18-3 technical fall at 197. Cody Walsh recorded a 10-2 major decision at 174, and Nate Schon closed the dual with a 10-1 major decision at 285; Schon is listed as No. 25 at heavyweight.
Franklin & Marshall supplied counterpunches in two of the higher-profile slots. No. 5 James Conway registered a 19-4 technical fall at 184 and turned in his 100th career victory in the process. Bryce Kresho, ranked No. 30, pinned No. 23 Jordan Soriano at 141 to deliver six team points and a momentum swing for the Diplomats.
Several close matches also affected the team score. Desmond Pleasant (No. 33) won 7-1 at 125. Deon Pleasant delivered a last-second takedown at 149 to convert a 7-5 deficit into an 8-7 decision. Luke Nichter and Dom Findora followed with narrow decisions at 157 and 165, respectively, to keep Drexel ahead through the midweights.
Drexel’s balance of bonus-point results and depth down the lineup produced the final margin. The combination of technical falls and majors late in the dual widened what had been a competitive midcard into a 30-11 team victory for the host.
