Appalachian State wins 38-3 at Davidson behind three bonus-point bouts

Appalachian State piled up bonus points in a three-bout stretch — including two technical falls and a major decision — to beat Davidson 38-3 in Davidson, N.C.

DAVIDSON, N.C. — Appalachian State defeated Davidson 38-3 on Feb. 13, 2026, using a run of bonus-point results to put the dual out of reach.

The Mountaineers opened the dual with early scoring advantages that included forfeits at 125 and 197, and the margin ballooned during a decisive three-bout sequence. Jarvis Little recorded an 18-2 technical fall at 133 pounds, Tomas Brooker followed with an 11-1 major decision at 184, and Stephan Monchery closed the dual with a 22-4 technical fall at heavyweight. Those bonus wins supplied the bulk of App State’s team points.

Appalachian State picked up valuable decisions elsewhere as well. Joe Fongaro posted a 4-0 victory at 141, Joe Zovistoski beat Josh Lange 9-4 at 174, and Anthony Conetta defeated Bryce Griffin 8-4 at 165 to keep the pressure on Davidson’s lineup.

Davidson’s lone victory came at 149, where Anderson Heap defeated No. 26 Kaden Keiser 4-1 in overtime on a three-point takedown in the extra period. That bout was the only match won by Davidson’s starters in the dual.

The win left Appalachian State 9-5 overall and unchanged atop Southern Conference duals at 6-0, and it extended the Mountaineers’ run of conference success as they head into the final road swing of the regular season. App State collected nine of 10 match wins in the dual and converted multiple opportunities into extra-team points, a difference that decided the meet.
