Michigan State defeated Long Island University 35-0 at Long Island University in Brookville, NY on November 14, 2025. The Spartans swept the dual with a string of bonus-point victories that LIU could not answer, turning what might have been a closer contest into a shutout.

The decisive moments came in the bouts that produced major and technical decisions. At 197 pounds Kael Wisler rolled to a 20-3 technical fall, and at heavyweight Michigan State’s #32 Max Vanadia put together a 20-5 technical fall. Those two techs alone supplied ten team points and broke the dual open.

Michigan State also picked up a major decision at 125 pounds as Nick Corday beat Sawyer Ostroff 11-3 for four more team points. The three bonus-point wins accounted for 14 points in the Spartans’ 35-point margin and left LIU without an offensive answer.

Vanadia’s ranked performance and Wisler’s dominant outing stood out as the most impactful results, and Corday’s major added useful separation on the scoreboard. In the end Michigan State’s ability to finish with bonus wrestling proved to be the difference in Brookville.
