Campbell edged Chattanooga 20-16 in a Southern Conference dual at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on January 19, 2025. The meet was decided by bonus-point finishes, with Campbell collecting three bonus wins that ultimately made the difference in a tight scoreline.
Anthony Molton’s 24-7 technical fall at 125 produced five team points and was Campbell’s biggest single scoring play on the day. That dominant result gave Campbell a sizable chunk of its total and underscored the impact of bonus-point victories in a closely contested dual.
Chattanooga’s Kamdyn Munro answered with an 8-0 major decision at 184, bringing four valuable team points for the Mocs and keeping the meet within reach. Campbell’s Levi Hopkins then delivered another major bonus for Campbell, finishing 17-2 by technical fall at 197 for five more team points; that performance proved pivotal in separating the teams on the scoreboard.
At heavyweight, Landon Sargent closed with a 16-8 major decision to add four additional bonus points for Campbell and help seal the 20-16 finish. In the end Campbell’s three bonus wins accounted for 14 team points, a haul that overcame Chattanooga’s bonus at 184 and secured the four-point victory in Chattanooga.
