Little Rock @ Cal Poly Recap
Little Rock knocked off Cal Poly 25-14 in San Luis Obispo on Feb. 15, 2025, in a Pac-12 dual meet that came down to bonus-point wrestling. The visiting Trojans collected multiple bonus victories that put distance between the teams, while Cal Poly picked up a late major to limit the margin.
Little Rock’s run of bonus scores was decisive. Brennan Van Hoecke earned a fall over Caleb Park at 141 to deliver six team points, and Matty Bianchi followed with a 16-0 technical fall at 157 for five more. Stephen Little added another big result with a 19-4 technical fall at 197, leaving Little Rock with a string of high-value wins that supplied the bulk of their offense.
Cal Poly found answers on the mat but not enough to overcome that barrage. Trevor Tinker closed the heavyweight matchup with an 11-3 major decision at 285 to pick up four team points and help keep the Mustangs within reach, but the three Little Rock bonus outcomes ultimately decided the dual. The 11-point margin reflected the difference in bonus scoring more than a run of close decisions, with Little Rock’s tech falls and pin doing the heavy lifting.
