Binghamton Men's Wrestling defeated Brown Men's Wrestling 24-9 at Binghamton University in Binghamton, N.Y., on January 27, 2024. The Bears built separation through two bonus-point victories that accounted for a large share of the final margin.

At 184 pounds Jacob Nolan turned in the most dominant result of the night, beating Nick Olivieri 17-1 by technical fall for five team points. Nolan’s tech fall was the single biggest scoring swing in the dual and forced Brown to chase points the rest of the way.

At 197 pounds Lou DePrez added a major decision, topping James Araneo 16-2 to deliver four more team points. Between Nolan’s technical fall and DePrez’s major, Binghamton collected nine team points from those two bouts, a decisive chunk of the 24 total that proved difficult for Brown to overcome.

Brown scored nine team points across the remaining matches, but the bonus-point victories at 184 and 197 created a cushion Binghamton maintained through the rest of the lineup. Those two high-scoring decisions defined the dual and left Binghamton with a 15-point winning margin.
