Oklahoma Men's Wrestling topped Tarleton State 41-9 at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK on December 21, 2025. The Sooners built a comfortable margin thanks to a string of bonus-point victories that separated the dual.

The decisive moment came in the 174-pound match when No. 8 Carter Schubert dominated Zeke Liescheski, earning a 21-5 technical fall for five team points. That win halted any chance of a close contest and pushed Oklahoma well ahead on the scoreboard.

Two pins added the knockout blow. Koufax Christensen recorded a fall over Noah Clayton at 125 pounds, and Anders Thompson pinned Cooper Lock at 184 pounds, each delivering six team points. Those three bonus results accounted for 17 of Oklahoma’s 41 points and created the scoring gap Tarleton State could not overcome.

Tarleton State managed nine team points overall, but the Sooners’ bonus-point production — highlighted by Schubert’s ranked victory and the two falls — decided the dual. Oklahoma left Norman with a 32-point margin of victory behind dominant finishes and a technical fall that swung the momentum decisively.
