Utah Valley @ Nebraska Recap
Nebraska beat Utah Valley 32-7 at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln on November 8, 2024. The Cornhuskers collected a string of bonus-point wins that put the dual out of reach and left Utah Valley with just one victory on the night.
Nebraska’s run of bonus results defined the meet. At 133 pounds Jacob Van Dee turned a decisive 13-1 major decision, and Ridge Lovett followed with a fall at 149 to hand Nebraska a six-point swing. Antrell Taylor delivered a 20-4 technical fall at 157, and Lenny Pinto closed the margin with a 23-6 technical fall at 174. Those extra-team-point results generated the bulk of Nebraska’s 32 points and created the separation the Cornhuskers needed.
Utah Valley’s lone bonus-era highlight was Terrell Barraclough’s 8-0 major decision at 165 over Bubba Wilson, the meet’s only non-Nebraska bonus victory and a bright spot for the visitors. Ultimately Nebraska’s collection of a pin, two technical falls, and a major decision supplied the decisive scoring burst, and the Cornhuskers left Lincoln with a 25-point dual victory.
