Rider @ Bloomsburg Recap
Rider visited Bloomsburg on February 8, 2025 and left with a 47-0 shutout at Bloomsburg University. The margin was driven almost entirely by bonus-point wins, as Rider piled up falls, technical falls and a major decision to put the dual out of reach.
Rider collected six bonus-point victories across the card, which is what decided the meet. A stretch of bonus results in the middle and upper weights made a comeback impossible for Bloomsburg, with Rider converting dominant offense into extra team points throughout the lineup.
A few matches stood out. At 149 pounds Matt Hoelke closed with a 23-7 technical fall, scoring a dominant win that added a valuable five-team points. Michael Wilson’s 20-2 technical fall at 174 provided another lopsided result and more bonus points. At the top end of the lineup Collin French finished by fall at 285, sealing the dual with six team points from the heavyweight pin. Earlier, Noah Michaels’ fall at 125 also produced six team points and helped keep the pressure on Bloomsburg.
Rider’s combination of falls and technicals left Bloomsburg with no answers, and the cumulative bonus scoring accounted for the lopsided 47-0 final. Bloomsburg could not offset the string of bonus losses, and Rider left with a dominant conference road victory.
