Kent State @ Central Michigan

Central Michigan swept Kent State 36-0 at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on Feb. 13, 2025. The Chippewas piled up bonus points all night en route to a shutout, leaving Kent State without a single team point.

Mason Shrader delivered the biggest individual swing, posting an 18-2 technical fall at 149 for five team points. Sean Spidle’s 12-0 major decision at 133 added another four points and kept the pressure on the Golden Flashes.

Johnny Lovett’s 15-3 major at 157 and Alex Cramer’s 9-0 major at 174 continued the cascade of bonus scoring, and heavyweight Bryan Caves closed the scoring with a 15-5 major at 285. Those four majors and the technical fall accounted for the bulk of Central Michigan’s total and turned close moments into comfortable margins.

A stretch of bonus-point victories across multiple weight classes proved decisive, as Central Michigan converted dominant individual performances into an insurmountable team lead. Kent State was unable to answer, and the Chippewas left Mount Pleasant with a 36-0 dual victory.
