Ohio defeated visiting Edinboro 26-14 at Ohio University in Athens, OH on January 19, 2025. The Bobcats pulled away behind a string of bonus-point victories that ultimately decided the dual.

Edinboro earned early momentum through two major decisions as Chris Vargo downed Ryan Meek 14-6 at 125 pounds and Colton Camacho beat TJ England 15-4 at 133 pounds. Those majors gave the Fighting Scots valuable bonus points and kept the match within reach, but they were not enough to hold off Ohio’s response.

The turning point came when Ohio reeled off four consecutive bonus wins from 149 through 184 pounds. Derek Raike picked up a 20-7 major at 149, Logan Cravatas recorded a fall at 157, Garrett Thompson produced a 15-0 technical fall at 174, and Jeremy Olszko closed the run with a 20-3 technical fall at 184. That sequence generated twenty team bonus points and swung the scoreboard decisively in favor of the Bobcats.

Edinboro’s Vargo and Camacho delivered the biggest highlights for the visitors, but Ohio’s combination of a pin and two technical falls provided the margin. The Bobcats left Athens with a 26-14 dual meet victory, built on sustained bonus scoring in the middle weights.
