Oklahoma State @ Oregon State Recap
Oklahoma State Men's Wrestling routed Oregon State Men's Wrestling 36-3 in Corvallis, OR on November 17, 2024. The Cowboys piled up bonus points all afternoon to turn what could have been a close dual into a lopsided victory, finishing with a 33-point margin at Oregon State.
What decided the meet was Oklahoma State’s barrage of bonus-point wins. Carter Young earned a 14-4 major decision at 149 pounds, handing Oregon State a quick, high-value scoring blow. From there Oklahoma State broke things open with three technical falls: Dean Hamiti Jr. rolled to an 18-1 technical fall at 174, Dustin Plott followed with a 24-8 technical fall at 184, and Wyatt Hendrickson closed the scoring column with a 16-1 technical fall at heavyweight. Those five-point results swung the team score decisively in Oklahoma State’s favor.
Tagen Jamison also contributed a major decision at 141, winning 11-3, and Cameron Amine added a 13-3 major at 165, further padding the Cowboys’ margin. Between the majors and the technical falls, Oklahoma State collected the bonus points that put the dual out of reach for the Beavers.
Oregon State managed only three team points on the day and could not find a response to Oklahoma State’s high-value finishes. The combination of technical falls and majors was the clear turning point, giving the Cowboys comfortable breathing room and the final 36-3 result.
