The Citadel @ Campbell Recap
The Citadel picked up a 26-9 road victory over Campbell in Buies Creek, North Carolina on January 18, 2026. The Bulldogs collected the bonus points that made the difference, turning a competitive meet into a comfortable margin by the final whistle.
Carson DesRosier, ranked #31 at 149 pounds, produced one of those decisive results with an 11-1 major decision over Jonathan Chang, earning four team points and a clear edge in the middle weights. That major not only padded the score but also swung momentum toward The Citadel in a session of tight decisions.
At 184 pounds Brodie Porter added another major decision, beating Brant Cracraft 15-6 and contributing four more bonus points. Those two majors accounted for eight of The Citadel’s team points and separated the squads when the rest of the lineup traded standard decisions.
In the end the bonus-point victories were the turning point. With those majors and solid work across other contested bouts, The Citadel built a lead Campbell could not overcome, finishing 26-9. The result will be an encouraging road win for The Citadel and a reminder to Campbell of the impact bonus points have in dual meet scoring.
