Central Michigan @ Oklahoma Recap
Oklahoma defeated Central Michigan 28-6 at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK on December 6, 2024. The Sooners picked up the win by piling up bonus points in several of the featured matchups, while Central Michigan managed just six team points across the dual.
The deciding factor was Oklahoma’s string of major decisions. Mosha Schwartz beat Kellan Aure 11-3 at 141 pounds, and Willie McDougald followed with a 14-4 major at 149. Gaven Sax added a 9-1 major at 174, and Deanthony Parker Jr closed the list with a 12-1 major at 184. Those four majors accounted for 16 of Oklahoma’s 28 team points and made the margin difficult for Central Michigan to overcome.
Beyond the box score, the majors removed any chance of a late comeback. Each bonus-point victory not only increased Oklahoma’s lead but forced Central Michigan to chase bonus points of their own. The four highlighted bouts were the clear turning points in this dual, creating separation between the Big 12 host and the visiting MAC squad.
Individually, Schwartz, McDougald, Sax and Parker Jr delivered the most decisive results on the night, combining technical control with margin-conscious finishes. Central Michigan had opportunities in other weights but could not offset the string of majors that decided the meet.
