Chattanooga Men's Wrestling topped Davidson Men's Wrestling 28-13 at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Jan. 28, 2024. The Mocs rode several bonus-point wins to a comfortable 15-point margin in the SoCon dual.

Chattanooga’s bonus-heavy night was the deciding factor. Chaz McDonald’s fall over Enis Ljikovic delivered six team points, and Isaiah Powe’s 22-4 technical fall and Matthew Williams’ 18-3 technical fall each added five points, creating a gap Davidson couldn’t close. Blake Boarman’s 11-2 major decision further padded the lead with four more team points, giving Chattanooga multiple high-value results rather than narrow decisions.

Davidson’s bright spot came at heavyweight, where Jake Fernicola scored a 13-2 major decision over Kaleb Snodgrass to collect four team points late in the dual. That major kept the Wildcats on the board but was not enough to counter Chattanooga’s string of bonus victories across the other featured weights.

In the end Chattanooga’s accumulation of pins, technical falls, and majors decided the meet. The Mocs finished with several dominant individual performances that combined for the margin, while Davidson’s lone bonus at 285 limited the deficit but could not change the outcome.
